TRAINERS
The Partnership
KSJ|ABC Dog Training
Kat and Bec first crossed paths two years ago when they were both working with the same client. Since then, their professional collaboration has grown into a strong friendship. In June 2022, Kat had the opportunity to house-sit Bec's ten dogs while she was away. During this time, Bec mentioned her plan to resume training after a hiatus caused by the Covid pandemic. This piqued Kat's interest, as she saw an opportunity to expand her pet services business into the realm of training. Kat began by observing and shadowing Bec's training course at a local daycare. As their partnership progressed, they decided to combine their efforts in November 2022. Together, they have continued to expand their training services, reaching the point where they stand today.

At KSJABC Dog Training, the services provided are adaptable and customised to cater to the unique requirements of your dogs. ABOUT OUR DOGS
Sienna & Monty
Even though Bec is the owner of 5 dogs, the dog you will frequently see accompanying her as a demonstration dog is Sienna. Monty, a yellow Labrador Retriever owned by Kat, is another key demo dog they utilize in their training sessions.

Sienna's story begins when Bec's rescue organisation took in Sienna's mother and father from an abandoned house in Sailsbury in April 2019. After their arrival, Sienna's parents were adopted into separate homes. A couple of weeks later, Bec received a call from the new owner of Sienna's mother, expressing concern about her rapid weight gain. Bec suggested an ultrasound, which revealed that Sienna's mother was pregnant with four adorable pups. On May 9th, 2019, Sienna and her three siblings came into the world.
Unfortunately, when Sienna's litter mate Chloe was six weeks old, she had an unfortunate encounter with one of the dogs at the place she was staying. This resulted in a split bottom eyelid, requiring immediate attention. Chloe was rushed to the emergency veterinarian, where she received six stitches and had to wear the "cone of shame." Upon their recovery, Bec decided to adopt the sisters, ensuring that Sienna and Chloe would remain together and become part of her loving family.

Monty's journey began when he found his forever home at the age of 4 months. Initially, he had been with a family in Blackburn from the time he was 8 weeks old. Unfortunately, the arrangement didn't work out, leading to his return to the breeder. Fortunately, Kat's family came into the picture and adopted Monty as a beloved member of their household.

Since Kat launched her Pet Services business in February 2021, Monty has actively participated in various aspects of their work. He has played a crucial role in socialising numerous dogs, contributing to their positive development. Currently, Monty continues to collaborate with Kat, Bec, and Sienna as a demonstration and stooge dog during training sessions.

ABOUT BEC
Auntie Bec's Pet Care
Being born into a household that already had Sheena the Kerry Blue Terrier, Bec developed a deep affinity for dogs from an early age. Later on, she acquired her first personal canine companion, a German Shepherd Mix named Sam. However, Sam displayed strong reactivity towards both people and other animals. It was during this period that Bec's passion for dog training truly ignited. She dedicated time in the backyard, teaching Sam a range of tricks, with his favorite being jumping through a hoop.

In 2013, Bec's passion for dogs took a significant step forward when she chose to volunteer at the Dogs Trust as part of her two-week work experience during school. It was during this valuable experience that her profound love for everything related to dogs truly blossomed.

In 2014, Bec pursued her interest in working with animals by enrolling in college to study Animal Care. Concurrently, she continued volunteering at the Dogs Trust, deepening her involvement in the dog welfare community. During this period, she also began fostering dogs, providing them a much-needed respite from kennel life. It was during her fostering journey that she encountered Bella, who is now the eldest member of her pack. Bella was surrendered to a rescue organization at just 10 weeks old and initially stayed with Bec for a weekend. However, the bond formed so quickly that Bec decided to officially adopt her.

Bella, a lively and energetic puppy, required an outlet for her boundless energy and improved focus. Agility training was recommended and they dedicated nearly six years to mastering the discipline together.

Throughout the years, Bec and her mother have fostered numerous dogs and welcomed a few more into their permanent family. During your training sessions, you may have the pleasure of meeting these furry friends.

In 2018, Bec took a significant step towards fulfilling her passion by establishing her own pet care business. This decision followed her departure from a position at a local doggy daycare, allowing her to further expand her dedication to animal welfare.

Today, Bec and Kat are a wonderful partnership, focusing on training both dogs and humans in need while also offering dog care services for families going on vacation.

ABOUT KAT
KSJ Pet Services
Since February 2021, Katya (Kat) has been the sole proprietor of KSJ Pet Services. With a deep passion and love for animal care, dogs, and pets, Kat established KSJ Pet Services to provide professional, high-quality, loyal, and compassionate pet care and services to pet owners throughout Liverpool, UK.

Kat's affinity for animals has been ingrained since childhood. She possesses qualifications and experience in small animal care, zookeeping, and horse care/riding. Additionally, she has been a lifelong owner and caretaker of dogs.

During her early years, Kat owned a reactive Shar-Pei named Sasha, who exhibited reactivity towards both dogs and people. Kat dedicated her childhood to training Sasha, resulting in her eventual ability to coexist happily with other dogs. In the later years of Sasha's life, Monty joined the family, further expanding Kat's love for training.
Two years after Monty became a part of the family, Kat ventured into the world of pet services, launching her own business. Since then, Monty has been an invaluable companion to Kat, accompanying her on daily dog walks, assisting in socialising other dogs, and participating in training sessions and classes as a demonstration dog.

Monty's presence further fueled Kat's passion for dog training. Eventually, Kat crossed paths with Bec, and their training partnership flourished over the following years.
